A Couple New Purchases...

Hello Beauties,
I know, I know, I've been M.I.A. again, I'm sorry, but to be honest... I just sometimes don't know what to blog about. Nowadays, I rarely buy anything that's really worth talking about, I guess I've been in this lazy, plain jane mood for a while. But recently I did purchase a couple things I thought you girls would want to know about. One is the Sephora Ultimate Dual Exfoliating Brush and the other an Ulta Exclusive Bare Minerals Kit and I've been absolutely loving both.

As I previously mentioned, I've been in a plain Jane mood, so I've been trying to focus more on improving my skin rather than just mask it with liquid and cream foundations and concealer so I decided to start focusing just a tad bit more on my skin care. So about a month ago, I decided to purchase the Sephora Dual Exfoliating Brush because I thought it would help my dry, at times, flaky skin, and I must say it has.

Sephora Dual Exfoliating Brush $18
One side is, as you can see, a brush that can be used to manually
wash and exfoliate your skin. The bristles are a bit long (sometimes
causing a bit of water to splash). Despite this small con, it works
really well at removing makeup and exfoliating any dry skin.
By the way, this brush does not rotate like the Clarisonic.
The opposite side has a silicone pad with small little bristles
that really help make your skin feel really smooth and soft.
It kind of massages your skin. I use this side after the bristle
brush...and when I have less makeup on, I just use this side.
Here's a closer look at the silicone bristle pad.
Overall, I really like this brush, in less than a month, I've seen great improvements in the texture and look of my skin. From what I've noticed, it removes almost all of my makeup, it leaves my skin feeling super smooth, and I even see an improvement in my post acne dark spots. Not to mention that I haven't had any major breakouts since I've been using this, and I use to get at least a pimple a week. For a fraction of the price of a Clarasonic, at a reasonable $18 at Sephora, I think this is a steal and I definitely recommend it.

The next set of products, I've been using for the last two weeks, and I have to say that I also feel this has helped with the improvement of my skin. I had been wanting to try Bare Minerals for the longest and when I saw this kit at Ulta for $38, I was all over it. The Kit includes the Original Foundation, a Mineral Veil, a mascara, a lip gloss, a Prime Time sample, and a brush.

Ulta Exclusive Bare Minerals Kit $38
This is what the packaging looks like. You should be able to
find it in-store and online at Ulta.
The Original Bare Minerals Foundation and Mineral Veil
I just have to say how in love I am with this product.
It works amazing. I use it with my Sigma F80 and the coverage
is really great. You would think that a powder foundation would make
my already dry skin look drier and flaky, but it leaves the most natural
looking finish. I love it, and I'm not sure if I'll ever use any other
foundation because, this doesn't break me out and not to mention
I fell asleep with it on one day, and no break out the next day, if
I do that with any other foundation, I would've woken up with
2 pimples waiting to happen the next day. Definitely recommend this.
The kit also included...
1. Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara which looks great
when you first apply it, but don't try to curl it after you apply  it
because it probably won't curl or it'll flake. I also realized that on me
it would flake after 4-6 hours, so I wouldn't repurchase or recommend
this product, but I will use it up.
2. Prime Time Foundation Primer- I love this stuff, I use it under
the foundation and once again, this doesn't break me out. It leaves the
skin smooth so that when you apply the foundation it goes on great.
3. Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in Cupcake- I absolutely love it, it has a
slight shimmer to it that isn't really noticeable to the lips, it is such a
pretty taupey, rosey color, and its sticky but not too sticky. I loved it.
4. The Flawless Foundation Brush- As I mentioned previously,
I use my F80 to apply the foundation, so Im not too sure how
this would work for the Foundation application, but I do apply the
Mineral Veil with this. Its soft, but a bit flimsy so it probably would
provide a very light coverage.

So I really hope you enjoyed and found my mini haul/review on these products helpful. I really love them and truly believe they have contributed to the improvements I see in my skin. I'll do an updated skin care/foundation routine soon. Like I've mentioned in many reviews and hauls before, I'm not saying this is absolutely going to work for you as it has for me, we're all different and our skin types may react differently to each product, but personally, for me, these products have helped me a lot, and if you do decide to try them, I really hope they work just as good for you.

xoxo,

Great to see a post from you! The brush looks really cool. I have the sephora pore perfecter brush which is like the pink back of that one. :^)
