My Memorial Day Weekend!!! Personal Post =>

Hello everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying Memorial Day weekend, I know I sure have been. =>
On this particular weekend and day, I am extra proud to be an American and am so very thankful to all of our troops and our fallen soldiers for fighting for this country, which so many of us call Home. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. You guys and girls are our heroes. :)

With that being said, I've enjoyed my weekend very much.
Saturday, the bf and I went to go watch the Hangover 2 which was hilarious, if you haven't seen it, you should lol. Bradley Cooper's kinda hot, Zack Galifanakis (or however you spell it lol) is oh so funny, and Mr. Chow, well he's just something else, not to mention the cute monkey that is in the movie, and the other guy is okay too. The movie has some crazy raw scenes, so if your not into that, this might not be the movie for you, but I just found it so funny. I think its one of those movies you must watch lol. =>
After the movie, we drove to the other side of town to my best friend's house because she was celebrating her 21st birthday. Woo hoo! I love my boo (I call her my boo and she calls me that too lol). She's super awesome! We originally met in like 6th or 7th grade on the bus, but we really didn't talk, and then in 8th grade, she ended up not liking me because of some dumb boy lol that she liked and she thought I liked, but I really didn't, he was just always talking to me (ahahaha, we were so stupid back then). In 9th grade is when we really got to know each other and we've been besties ever since. We share a lot in common and she's become like a sister to me. Her mom and little brothers are all like family to me.
But anyways, back to what I was originally saying, we had a lot of fun at her party. I don't drink, but that's never stopped me from having a good time ;) The bf went with me of course, because her bf is one of my bf's best friends, so yeah. She had a ton of bottles and a ton of beer, a margarita machine, brisket and a ton of other good food. The ginormous Patron Bottle is the first one they opened and it was done with in about 5 minutes lol, surprise, surprise. Everyone we hang out with is either A) almost 21 B) just turned 21 or C) 20 something yr old drunks lol, so no liquor was wasted in the process. I'm the only sober loser lol, naw, most of the people we hang out with respect my self control and the fact that I can still have a good time without drinking, so that's bad ass, I get very small amounts of peer pressure, so that's good. => I didn't take any pictures, because like a loser, I forgot my camera and my Ipod at home, and she lives really far away now, I think it's like 45 minutes, so I definitely wasn't gonna go back home and get it. Ah, I remember when she used to live on the next street, those were the good old days. haha. Anyways, we ended up leaving her house really late, and I have no idea what time I got to my house because by that time everyone was asleep. Aw man, I should of taken a picture of my outfit. I wore this really cute dress that I've had since last summer, it's one of those dresses that looks like a tank top and a high waisted skirt put together, it's black at the top and a really cute floral print with a black background at the bottom with some cute wedges that I bought last week. The bf said, I looked very beautiful, he's such a sweetheart lol.

On Sunday, my dad wanted to go make a carne asada at my Buelita's house so that we could all get together over there. My grandma is 88yrs. old, and she just doesn't have the strength she once had. Over the past 3 years she has gone through a lot, she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer on Mother's Day 2009 and was given minimal amounts of radiation and chemo for about a year since she is older and her heart isn't as strong. This past Mother's Day, she was in the hospital once again, because she was in a lot of pain. It's been hard for me to see my grandma struggle so much because of this disease. I love my grandma very much, she's always been there for me, even more so after my mom passed away. Every time I see her, I always make sure she knows I love her. I know I'm her favorite granddaughter lol., she's told me that many times. Haha, I remember when we were little, my brother, my cousin, and I used to love to spend the night at my grandmas house and she loved having us over there. Sometimes, I wish I was a kid again. :) Anyways, we spent the day over there yesterday, and I can tell she enjoyed having her kids, her grandkids, and her sister and niece over yesterday. I'm glad my dad decided to bbq over there. I love spending time with the family. =>
This was a few years ago at a family get together. =>
Today, I've just been hanging out around the house. I just finished eating a cup of Chocolate Ice cream, yum! and I've just been watching everything from Mob Wives, Jersey Shore, Real Housewives, and Basketball Wives reruns. lol. I'm seriously killing tons of brain cells watching these shows. haha.  I've had an amazing weekend with the people I love.

How was your Memorial Day Weekend? Have you watched the Hangover 2, if you haven't are you planning on it? Let me know in the comments below. :)

Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama Mascara Review!!! =>

Hi loves,
Today, I'm bringing you a review on Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama Mascara. I can honestly say, this is my favorite mascara ever. It's truly amazing for me. I will tell you and show you why...

The packaging is kind of cute. Just like all the Volume Express
mascaras, same shape, same bottle, different color combo.
The Black Drama version of this mascara has black lettering, and
not blue lettering like the original.
The wand is what they like to call a spoon brush.
It has smaller bristles on the top and bottom and longer bristles on
the side.
First off, my eyelashes are light, thin, average length, and not very defined at all. As you can see below.
This is before curling and before any mascara has been applied.
Here's another picture to show you the length of my lashes a
little better.
Here are my lashes curled, right before I apply mascara
As you can see they look a little bit better, but they could use
a little bit more volume and darkness, maybe even a little
more length.
Here are my lashes with one coat of The Falsies Black Drama... I apply my mascara using the spoon part or curved part, not the sides. I just feel it applies better in my opinion and I believe that is the whole point of this brush type, but you can experiment and see what works best for you.
The mascara has added some volume, darkness, and it's still curled. It's normal for the curl to fall a little since you are
applying product to them.
Here's a better look at my lashes with one coat, they are longer,
thicker, darker, but not clumpy.
I'm not a "one coat of mascara" type of girl, I'm more of a "two coats of mascara" type of girl, so here are my lashes after TWO coats...
A little thicker, longer, and still not clumpy (atleast not in my
terms)
Here's a better look of my lashes with two coats. Length, Volume,
and darkness is phenomenal in my terms
And finally, I like to re-curl my lashes when they are dry, I just feel like it defines them more, and the curl stays even longer...

Now, I will say that by the third coat, it might clump, but you might still be able to get away with it.

Also, this mascara seems to have some fibers in it, I thought it was just my first tube, but as I've continued to purchase it, I've noticed that they all had them, if I remember correctly, the original Falsies doesn't have these little fiber-hair like things...
As you can see there's a little hair-like thing on the left in the dark
spot and another on the right. They aren't my lash hairs
I believe they are minimal amounts of fibers added to the mascara
in order to help lengthen.
Here's one of the fibers I took out from the blobs on the finger on
the left. They are really thin and light, and I saw them the very first time
I opened the mascara, so they can't possibly be my lashes.
There's quite a few but nothing excessive.
You can see a small blob of fibers on the left side of the wand in the middle.
You can also kind of see one at tip.
My thoughts on this mascara:

Pros:
-It lengthens
-It volumizes
-It defines
-It darkens
-It contains little fibers to help lengthen
-It doesn't clump
-It doesn't flake after hours of wearing it
-On me, it didn't smudge
-The wand is easy to work with
-It's affordable ($5-8)
-It DOES NOT smell like some of the other Volume Express mascaras
-It's more of a wet mascara (this could be a pro or con, depends on the person)
-Doesn't make my lashes hard
-And it's simply amazing!!! =>

Cons:
-If not used correctly or applied to quickly it can clump.
-The mascara dries out after about a month or a month and a half, but it's so affordable, so I don't mind. (Maybe I just use it too much)
-Once it starts drying out, the application isn't as smooth, it will clump, it will flake, and it will be a pain in the butt.

Hope you all enjoyed this review. If you liked how it turned out on me, go out and try it (By the way, I'm planning on adding a tube of this to my future giveaway so look out for that in the next few weeks). Trust me, I know this mascara probably won't work the same for everybody. Some people will love it and others will hate it (Isn't that how everything pretty much works in this world lol), you can be the judge.

Haha, by the way, Congrats to everyone because we're still alive. The world didn't end today after all lol. I didn't think it would. What are your thoughts on the world ending? Oh and what are your thoughts on this mascara too lol? :)

My Day! (A sliced finger, a teeny weeny haul, time with my nephew + more)

Guess what??? Chicken butt!!!
Haha, ok, I admit, that was a little childish, forgive me. I took care of my nephew a few hours ago and I guess I still had that one in my system. hehe :)

But really, guess what???
1) I sliced my thumb, with a knife, while washing the dishes and cried like a little (beep). hehe
But I'm happy because I get to wear one of my Micky Mouse Band-Aids lmao.
See....
Sorry it's upside down.
2) Before I sliced my thumb, I went to CVS and saw they had a few things at 50% and 75% off. I got two Essie Nail Polishes from the collection that came out a couple months ago (I guess they're trying to get rid of this collection, to put out the next one), and two NYC Lip Balms. They didn't have too much, but those were two things that caught my eye, besides, I had $6 Extra Bucks so I only paid, like $3. :)
Left to Right, Top to Bottom: Essie Sand Tropez, Essie French Affair
and, NYC Sugar Coated and NYC Sugar Kiss
3) I picked up my nephew and brought him to my house and we played Sonic The Hedgehog on our old XBOX and Super Mario Bros. online. It feels good to share part of my childhood with my nephew. I love that kid, he's awesome. Oh and I'm super excited to go to his baseball games tomorrow. Hope it's a nice day outside. Cross my fingers. =>

4) This one was so upsetting!!! According to Physician's Formula's Facebook Page, they are no longer accepting the $5 off coupons that weren't supposed to expire until June. What kind of (beep) is that? According to them, they were used improperly by the consumers. Excuse me!!! Here's what I'd like to say to Physician's Formula....

Dear Physician's Formula,
If you're mad because we were smart enough to combine that coupon with store sales to get your overpriced products for extra cheap or free, then I'm sorry for ya. You and your thousands of employees should have thought of that before. Don't blame us for your mistakes. The economy is tough, gas is going up and people are trying to save money. You put a coupon out, of course we're gonna use it. There's only a month left before the expiration date anyways, and as a "respectable" company, you should've kept your word to your consumers. After all, your consumers are the ones that put money into your business. You probably gained a lot of new consumers through this coupon, and you probably lost some by revoking it. After the expiration date, people are still gonna buy your products and your gonna go back to making more money than you should.

Haha. So what do you think of my wannabe letter to Physician's Formula? lol. Anyways that was my day. I'm not doing anything tonight. Just gonna chill. Maybe blog a little more. Who knows! :)

Collective Drugstore Beauty Haul =>

Good morning, Goodnight, or Good afternoon ladies,
Here are some things that I have recently purchased within the past few weeks (well atleast the things that I could remember, I'm pretty sure I forgot something...hehe).
Let's just go ahead and get started.
As you can see not much make up at all. Just a few beauty things for
hair, nails, skin, and a few actual make up products. :)
Starting from Left to Right:

1) Cover Girl Lashblast Volume...
Honestly, I hate this stuff. It clumps, it flakes, it does absolutely
nothing for my lashes. I'll probably end up making an in depth review
of this mascara. It's so overrated and a waste of my money.
$6-8, drugstores
2) One N Only Argan Oil...
This serum for the hair is amazing, I love it. I just started using it again
after almost a year. I had bought a little $2 sample size to try it out and
it lasted me a really long time, so after a year of using my Super Skinny Serum,
I decided to try it again and it's amazing. I need the smallest amount to make my
hair shiny and smooth. I would definitely recommend it.
$9-10 at Sallys. $2 for the little sample size.

3) Aussie Catch the Wave Mousse + Leave in Conditioner...
This stuff is okay, I've only used it once. I like that it doesn't make
my hair hard like other mousses when I want to wear my hair natural,
but I don't know, I kind of like my Herbal Essences Tousle me softly
Mousse a little bit better. Maybe I just need to try it out some more.
$3-5, drugstores
4) Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer...
I like it. I think this has contributed to keeping my skin clear, but it's
not as moisturizing as I would like. It doesn't dry out my skin at all, even though
it has Salicylic Acid in it, which is amazing, but I kind of like the Ultra Calming
Moisturizer by Aveeno a little bit better, just because its more hydrating. Oh,
and this one doesn't provide any SPF, which I kind of don't like. :(
$14-16, drugstores
5) Equate Acetone Strengthening Nail Polish Remover...
I dont know if it's strengthening or not, but it sure does take off my
nail polish quickly. That's probably because I'm used to buying the
Non-acetone nail polish remover, and this one is acetone. Works great.
$1.50 at Walmart
6) Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power Clear Scrub...
I love this stuff. I have a full review on this Check it out HERE.
7) Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama...
My HG mascara. Love it, love it, love it. Lengthens, Darkens,
Volumizes, doesn't flake. Look out for a review on this within the next
few days. :)
$5-8, drugstores

8) Revlon Matte Lipstick in Pink Pout...
Beautiful Pale pink lipstick, with the slightest purple undertone.
I love it. Even though its matte, it doesn't dry out the lips.
$5 at Walmart (Rollback)
9) O.P.I Black Shatter...
My aunt bought me O.P.I. Black Shatter Nail Lacquer the other day.
I haven't used it yet, but I hope to really soon. :)
$5-9
10) China Glaze Shocking Pink...
Neon pink nail polish has got to be my fave. I just love how it looks
in the summer. This color is gorgeous. I'll swatch it later. :)
$4-7, Ulta, Sallys, and Online
11) Sally Girl Wide Tooth Comb...
I love these combs from Sallys. I have wavy/curly hair naturally,
and this comb is great to use for when I get out of the shower, or in the
shower to comb my conditioner through. Best part is that its only...
$.89-.99 at Sallys.
Well that's it girls, nothing too interesting. If you have any questions or want a review on any of the products mentioned above, let me know, and I'll try my best to do one in a timely fashion. Also, feel free to right your thoughts on any of these products, whether you agree or disagree, it doesn't matter. :)

Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub Review!!!

Hello loves,
So about 3 weeks ago or so, I started breaking out really bad again and I was desperate to find something that would help reduce the break outs I already had and also prevent new ones from emerging. I did a little research, and I hit the jackpot with the
Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub

Price: $6-8, available at drugstores, Target, Walmart, and some grocery stores.
Packaging: White and clear squeeze tube with Orange Lettering. You get 4.2 oz. worth of product, which is the same size as most, if not all, Neutrogena scrubs.
Consistency/Texture: The consistency is thick and creamy and is a light minty color. It has very tiny beads that help exfoliate just a little bit, but to be honest, I wouldn't consider this an exfoliator. It's more of a cream cleanser with a few beads for a little bit of texture.
As you can see it has very small amounts of beads.
And it looks kind of like a cream

Best for: Any skin type that is acne prone. I particularly have Normal to dry, acne-prone skin.
How it worked: When I first purchased this product, I thought it was a scrub/exfoliator, after all, it is named Power-Clear Scrub. But when I actually tried it, I realized that it really isn't an exfoliator because it doesn't do much exfoliating; it just massages very lightly and gently. It made my face tingle while I massaged it into my face and after I washed it off, my face felt minty fresh. I believe this is part of the process, even though I don't believe it says anything about this on the actual packaging. My face felt nice and clean, but not tight nor dry once I rinsed it off. It doesn't foam, which I personally like, and it feels very moisturizing in a way. This product has cleared up most of my breakouts and I've noticed that I'm not breaking out anymore. It contains 2% Salicylic Acid which is what treats and prevents breakouts, but sometimes Salicyclic acid can be drying, although in this particular product, I can honestly say, it's NOT. :)
Overall: 5 out of 5

Pros
-Inexpensive
-Creamy texture that doesn't foam a lot
-Doesn't dry out my already dry face
-Treats my current acne and prevents new acne
-The beads are so small that it's not harsh at all
-Doesn't make my face feel tight after washing
-Tingles, which makes me feel like it's getting into my pores and doing its job
Cons
-Some people may not like that its called a scrub, but doesn't do much scrubbing

I bought mine at Target a few weeks ago and had a dollar off coupon which you can get by clicking here.
Once you get to the website,
On the left hand side- Click Beauty
Then click Page 2 and choose the one that says $1 off Neutrogena Facial Care item
Then just click print selected coupons and TA DA! You have a $1 off this product at Target.
So instead of paying $6.99
You'll pay $5.99 + tax :)

Hope you found this review helpful. If you have breakouts and you think they could be because of stress or maybe they're not because of stress and you just think this might work for you, try it. It's not very expensive, it's not harsh on the skin, and it could really help your skin out. I honestly can't guarantee it, because different things work for different people, but it's definitely worth a try. =>

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc Free Mineral Correcting Powder Review

Hello everyone,
Hope everyone is having a great day. I'm back with another Physician's Formula Review this time on the
Mineral Wear Talc Free Mineral Correcting Powder in Translucent

Price: $13-15, you can catch Physician's Formula on sale at CVS every few weeks, so I'd pick it up then
Packaging: Clear Container, When you lift up the powder part, you will find a nice size mirror, and a small (useless) brush. The actual powder has swirls of different colors ranging from pink, green, beige, and yellow since it is a "corrective" powder. On the packaging it says that it claims three things; it's a powder, a correcter, and a primer.
Do you see the swirls? The lighting washes it out. :(
Texture and How it Works: The texture of  the powder is soft, as soon as you tap your brush into it you get plenty of product. It doesn't have any shimmer at all. It works great at neutralizing minor redness, but it won't really cover blemishes because it's not a powder foundation or anything of that sort. It keeps my skin oil-free(I do have normal to dry skin, but because I live in a humid city, sometimes my face can get just the slightest bit oily, almost nothing, on and around my nose). It works great as a setting powder and also works great if you want very light neutralizing coverage. Because I have dry skin, some powders make my skin feel itchy, this one DID NOT, which makes me very happy. It didn't accentuate any dry patches, but to be honest, I don't put much on. I dab it in the powder once, focus it on my nose, and my cheeks, and maybe I'll go in one more time. For example today, I just put on my tinted moisturizer, a dab of concealer on my blemishes, and this powder all over  my face and my face looked great. I'm really in love with this powder. Oh, and I also use this to set my undereye concealer and it works amazing, my concealer lasts all day. :)
Here's a swatch, as you can see, once blended, the shades make a light shade,
and once blended into the skin, it's practically invisible. It leaves your skin looking  natural
but better. By the way, it seems like there's shimmer, it's probably because I swatched
another powder prior to this one and I guess it left a few traces of shimmer. :)
Shade Range: There are four shades, (Translucent, Creamy Natural, Buff Beige, and Natural Beige)
Best For: All skin types, to set concealer, foundation, and tinted moisturizer. Or alone to neutralize minor redness.
Smell: No smell at all. :)
Overall: 5 out of 5

Pros
-Can catch it on sale often
-Neutralizes my redness
-Doesn't make my face itch like other powders
-Lasts all day
-Doesn't accentuate dry patches
-Doesn't look cakey
-No smell
-Dont need very much at all

Cons
-Price is a little steep, but on the bright side, you can catch it on sale for really cheap

Sale at CVS this week only:
This week you save $6 on PF powder, foundation, blushes, bronzers, concealers, and tinted moisturizers
This is originally $13.99
Minus $6, it is $7.99
And if you print out this $5 coupon (CLICK HERE)

You get it for....a whopping

$2.99 + tax

That's an amazing deal. If you want to try it out hurry up and go get it at your local CVS. The sale ends Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. and the coupon expires in June 2011. Hope you enjoyed the review, if you have any questions, leave them in the comments below. =>

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer Review!!!

Hola,
Today I'm coming to you girls with a review on the Physician's Formula
Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer

So let's begin with the review:

Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer in Ivory to Fair
Price: Retail  Price is around $12 to $15, but you can catch Physicians Formula on sale at CVS every few weeks and there is also a $5 off coupon that doesn't expire until June 2011...I'll link it at the end. I ended up getting mine for about $4 or $5 :)

Packaging: I love the packaging!!! The container is bright orange with hot pink. You get 1 oz. worth of product, which is normal for foundations and tinted moisturizers. It has a very controllable pump. And a little loop at the top where you can add it to a key chain or a lanyard and carry it around your neck or in your beach bag. The only thing about the packaging that I don't like is that you can't see how much product you have left, and there is no way to open it to look inside. :(
Before it was completely blended it out.
Blended into my skin. As you can see the shade is perfect on
my hand, but on my face, not so much. It was a shade or two darker.
Texture/Consistency: The texture is nice and smooth; it leaves a dewy finish on the skin. It has no shimmer whatsoever, and gives great coverage for a tinted moisturizer. If you have redness, it will cover it, it will even lessen the look of acne scarring, but it definitely won't cover it completely. It's pretty light on the skin for having an SPF of 50. Usually when you put higher SPF on your face, it can feel heavy on the skin, but this one doesn't.

Shade Range: If there is anything I hate about this product is the lack of shades. I'm pretty light, so I bought the lightest shade it comes in, and it was still a shade darker than my skin tone. If you have yellow tones, this might not be for you. In my opinion, this has a slight pink tone to it, atleast this particular shade does. I feel like these tinted moisturizers are targeted more so to medium and tan skin tones, but defiinitely not fair to light. In order to make it work for me, I mix it with a little bit of concealer to lighten it up a little and provide that little bit of extra coverage.

Best for: People with Normal to Dry skin. It might work for those with Oily skin, but you'll definitely want to set it with powder or it might feel a little greasy.

Smell: It has a slight smell, which is probably the SPF. It's not very strong at all. Doesn't bother me :)

Overall:  I give it a 4 out of 5, because of the lack of shades.

Pros
-Love the bright, summery packaging.
-Love the pump
-Love the fact that it has a high SPF
-Love that it's Hypoallergenic, Paraben Free, Oil-Free, and all those good things that PF has to offer.
-Love that it has nice coverage.

Cons
-Hate the lack of shades
-Hate that you can't see how much product you have left
-And I don't like that it's so pricey, but hey, atleast you can catch it on a sale. :)
