Happy Easter!!! + Mini Update

Happy Easter Everyone,
I hope all of you are enjoying your Easter, mine went okay.
We went next door to my aunt's house and had lunch, hid some eggs, and cracked some eggs.
Even the adults joined in the fun.

On another note, I want to apologize for not posting a lot lately. School had me a little busy
and unfortunately, now, I'm probably going to post even less because a lot went on yesterday, that has put me in a very down and depressed mood. I'm debating whether to write it on this post or make another post about  it, but I'll go ahead and mention it here. Yesterday, I got into my first car accident. I'll post more on it later. I'm just really down right now and don't feel like typing. I just wanted to come on here and tell you girls Happy Easter and explain my lack of posts in the past and in the future.

Love you girls,

"What's your favorite scary movie?"

Hello everyone,
So as you can see from the title and the picture below, I went to go watch Scream 4 on Saturday with the bf. We went to this movie theater named Studio Movie Grill where you can eat and drink while you watch the movie. It was our first time going to this theater and I must say I really liked it. I had gone to Movie Tavern before, which is pretty much the same concept, but this place was much better. We ate these little buffalo burger things. It was a chicken patty, soaked in buffalo sauce, put in some hamburger buns, and cut into four pieces. They also gave us tons of fries, and they were so yummy. I felt like a fatty, because I almost finished the entire basket. Overall, the theater was awesome, and I have to say that the movie was pretty good too.
Cindy, Dewy, and Gayle are back, along with an entirely new cast of characters, and of course the ghost face killer. I must say, I didn't find this movie scary. I don't think it's meant to be scary, to be honest, the whole Scream franchise is a parody of 80s horror films so I never really found any of them scary, not even as a child. The movie made me jump once, maybe twice, not out of being scared, but more so because it was unexpected. lol. It definitely had some funny moments and some that were a little gory too.
I don't want to give any spoilers, just in case someone out there reading this wants to go watch it, but I will say that overall, if you're a fan of the previous Scream movies, you'll probably enjoy this one as well.

What's your favorite scary movie? Have you watched this one? What do you think about it? Let me know in the comments below. :)

Swatch Time!!! (PIC HEAVY)

Hello beauties,
Here are swatches of the things I've gotten in my last two hauls.

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy- A corally, pink neon. 2 coats
China Glaze Lemon-Fizz- A baby yellow creme. 2 coats
China Glaze Refreshmint- Light minty green. 2 coats
China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle- Baby blueish purple creme. 2 coats
China Glaze Four Leaf Clover- A beautiful green with the slightest blue undertone. 2 coats
Orly Passion Fruit- Hot Reddish Pink. I think this its between a creme and a neon, because it doesn't leave a shiny finish nor does it leave a completely matte finish. 2 coats.
Nicole by OPI My Lifesaver- Bright Tiffany Blue creme. 3 coats.

Nyx For Your Eyes Only- Mysterious Brown Eyes Palette

Nyx For Your Eyes Only Palette in Smokey Eyes

Left to Right: Nyx Round Lipstick in Summer Love
Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Sweet Heart
Milani Liquif'eye Liner in Black

Left to right:
Physician's Formula Happy Booster Powder in Translucent- Just a powder that can be used as a highlight or all over for a nice glow.
Elf Studio Blush in Pink Passion-Bright, neon-looking, pink blush.
In the middle it's just swatched and on the right it's blended out.

Hopefully these swatches help.
Remember these nail polishes are Buy 2 get 1 free at Sally Beauty Supply until the end of the month I believe.
Also Physician's Formula is 40% off at CVS this week.
And NYX is Buy 2 Get 1 Free at Ulta until May 8th.
Happy Shopping! :)

Blushing Noir: Easter Giveaway

Hello beauties,

BlushingNoir is having a giveaway! These are the items she is giving away.

To enter to check out her page Here
Good luck to everyone. :)

Guess who got a package? =>

Hello beautiful girls,
A couple weeks ago I ordered something off of Amazon and early last week I received it. When I heard the knock on the door, I knew it was my package and I was so excited.

It was my epilator! For a while now, I had been dying to try an epilator because I have heard so many people raving about them and I absolutely hate shaving. When I shave, my legs itch like crazy no matter what, and the hair grows back so fast that I'm tired of having to shave all the time. So I decided to splurge a little and order an epilator. For those of you who don't know, epilators are pretty expensive. They run from about $30-$200. I purchased the one below from Amazon, and I believe it was $51.27 with free shipping. The same product is sold on other websites for $20 more, so I figured it was a pretty good deal.
Once I opened the package, I realized that it came with quite a few things. It came with a loofa or scrubby thing, a little brush to clean it, the cord, an attachment, and a cute pouch to put it all in. Oh and of course, the user manual.
This is what it looks like. If you don't know what this is, it's basically an apparatus that tweezes all of the hair from the root. It can last up to 6 weeks before it starts growing back, and it helps the hair grow back thinner. It is extremely painful to use from what I have heard, but the pain becomes less and less as you continue using it. This one is the Emjoi Soft Caress epilator.
This particular epilator has two speed settings. One for finer hair and two for coarser hair. I will say that when I first turned it on, the noise it makes is a little scary. I can't explain it, but I was a little scared to place it near my skin. I only tried it on my legs a little bit because my hair still hadn't grown out too much from shaving. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought. It is painful, but not unbearable for me, but then again I have a pretty high tolerance for pain.
Also, the packaging says that it has 36 tweezers and that they are plated with 24 karat gold for those with sensitive skin, that may be allergic to certain metals.
I'm pretty excited to fully try it and review it for you girls, and I can't wait to see how long it lasts before it grows back. Even if it just lasted a week, I'd be happy because with shaving, I am constantly having to shave the stubble after the first or second day.

Have you girls tried an epilator before? What do you think about them?
Let me know in the comments. :)

A Huge Thank You!!! :)

Hi everyone,

Image found on Google
I just want to say thank you so much to all the people that are following me now. Over the past month or two, my followers have increased from 2 or 3 to 30+, and I am so grateful to each and every one of you for following me.

Some people may think that 30 followers is nothing, but to me it's amazing, and I am really so thankful to you girls and a guy. lol. In the future, I will be having a giveaway to show even further my appreciation. Maybe when I hit 100 followers or something.; that way I'll have some time to accumulate some gifts for you all.

I also want to say thanks for all the sweet comments you all leave on my posts. It makes me so happy when I see I have new comments, and even happier when I read them and they say so many nice things.

If my blog can help at least one beauty fanatic save some money or distinguish a good product from a bad one from reading what I think or seeing how it looks swatched, than I guess I'm doing what I came here to do.

Once again, thank you so so much. You girls and a guy, :) are amazing!

Haul Time!!! Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply :)

Hello beauties,

I have an awesome haul to share with you girls today. :) Believe me, I don't usually shop this much in a typical week, but when I have a little cash and there's an awesome sale, I just can't allow myself to pass it up. As I mentioned in my Bargains! Bargains! Bargains! post earlier this week Ulta is having a 40% off sale on Nyx, Maybelline, Revlon, and Almay cosmetics, so of course, I had to go check it out. I also found out that Sally's Beauty Supply have all their nail polishes Buy 2 get 1 free, so I had to check that out too, like I really need more nail polish. lol. :)

I bought the make up items from Ulta and all the nail polishes from Sally Beauty Supply.

Ulta:
I went to Ulta twice, the first time I went, I bought the first palette and the lip gloss, and the second time, I bought the second palette, the lipstick, and the concealer.

First Trip to Sally Beauty: China Glaze + China Glaze + China Glaze = $14.97 - One Free = $10.80

Secon Trip to Sally Beauty: Orly + China Glaze + China Glaze = $14.97 - One Free = $10.80

Reg Price Total: $74.03
Sale Price Total: $ 38.98

Amount Saved: $35.05

I saved quite a lot purchasing all these items on sale. If I would've bought these items at regular price, I would've spend almost twice as much. I do want to say that the Ulta sale and coupon (which you can get online, I'll put the link below) are good until tomorrow, Saturday, so if you have a chance to hit up Ulta tomorrow, print the coupon out and save a little bit of extra money. The Sally Beauty Supply Buy 2 get 1 Free Sale is good until the end of April, so you have a little bit longer to take advantage of that one. I also wanted to mention that I have a Sally Beauty Club Card so I purchased the nail polishes for $4.99 each, if you don't have one, they are $5.99 each, but you can get a beauty club card for $5 and you get a $5 rebate on your next purchase. I hope you enjoyed this haul and I most definitely will be posting swatches of this haul and my last haul within the next couple days. :)

Link to the Ulta coupon (REMEMBER! Its only good until tomorrow, Saturday, April 16th)

If you have any questions or comments, be sure to leave it below.

Spring/Summer Nail Polish Shades :)

Hi beauties,

I compiled a few of my favorite nail polish shades and colors for Spring/Summer. Pastels-neons. Some of these shades are limited edition, but I'm sure you can find dupes. So let's get started. :)

Nude---Every girl needs a nude/neutral nail polish. Whether it be for work or just for a simpler look. The perfect nude is different depending on the skin tone. The nude I really like is this one.

Orly Nail Lacquer- Pure Porcelain(LE)
You might still be able to find this, I purchased it 2 weeks ago.
Available at Sallys or Ulta
Baby Pinks- I love baby pinks, they are girlie and can still pass as somewhat neutral. My favorite is this inexpensive one.

Wet N Wild Wild Shine Nail Polish-Tickled Pink
Available at drugstores
Medium Pinks- Medium pinks are for those that don't want to wear a light, baby pink, but also don't want to wear a super bright neon pink. I bought the following one in a kit of limited edition Maybelline Polishes, but I think it should be pretty easy to find a dupe.

Maybelline Express Finish Nail Polish-Pink Sophistication (LE)
Bright/Neon Pinks- In the summer, I love wearing neon colors. They just pop when your out in the sun, and I love how quickly they dry (neons dry matte). My favorite neon is...

Nina Ultra Pro in Fuchsia Rage
Available at Sally's
Corals/Reds-Corals and reds are super hot, and from what I've heard these colors are so in this season. My favorite orangey, corally, reddish nail polish is...

Loreal Nail Polish- Mango-Get-em
Available at drugstores
Lilacs- Pastelles in general have been very in for spring the past few years. My favorite lilac is a Limited Edition from the OPI Shrek Collection, but I've recently seen one by Sally Hansen Extreme Wear that looks almost identical.

O.P.I. Nail Lacquer in Rumple's Wiggin' (LE)
Still available on certain nail polish websites.
Mint Greens/Tiffany Blues- Mint greens are so lovely, and they look great on a variety of skin tones. I have a whole separate post on these nail polishes. One of the prettiest shades of mint green I have found though is this one...

Revlon Minted
Available at drugstores
Baby Blues- Last year, there was a lot of rave over O.P.I Shrek Collection Nail Polish in "What's with the Cattitude?" Unfortunately, I didn't get my hands on it, but there are other baby blues out there. I particularly like the following one, but it was also limited edition, although nothing like the OPI one. Sinful Colors has many beautiful blues.

Maybelline Express Finish in Pie in the Sky (LE)
Bright colors- The following nail polish is my favorite for multiple reasons. The application is amazing...it's extremely opaque, dries super fast and isn't streaky at all. Not only that, but the actual color is gorgeous. It's a neon orangey color with gold flecks. In the sun, this color is even more gorgeous. I love this nail polish so much and it was so inexpensive. This picture definitely doesnt do it justice though.

L.A. COLORS Color Craze Nail Polish in Magnetic Force
Available at certain beauty supply stores
Hope you enjoyed this post and found it a little helpful. Sorry that so many of these are limited edition, but trust me, dupes are available, you just have to look a little. :)

What's your favorite spring/summer nail polish shade or color?
