China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Cracked Concrete Swatch

Hello beauties,

About two or three weeks ago, I purchased the China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Cracked Concrete, which is the exact same thing as the OPI Black Shatter nail polish that was introduced in the Katy Perry Collection, except it's a charcoal gray color.

The China Glaze Crackle Glaze collection had a black, a white, this gray, a hot pink with shimmer, a mint blue, and a purple shimmer. All of which were crackle polishes. I only purchased this specific one because I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I can honestly say I do.

Crackle Glaze in Cracked Concrete- A medium, charcoal grey that crackles or shatters as pictured above over any nail polish. It dries quickly and crackles very nicely. In the picture above I paired it with Maybelline Limited Edition Nail Polish in Pink Sophistication which is no longer available. It's nothing too unique, just a medium-bright pink creme nail polish.

Overall, I must say that I really like this crackle polish, and I kind of wish I would have gotten some of the other colors. It's been a few weeks since I purchased the Crackle Glaze so I'm not sure if it's still available. I went to Sally's a few days ago, to purchase an Orly nail polish and the Crackle Glaze display was no longer there. Although, I will say that I'm sure you can find it being sold on different websites, if you'd like to try it.

Also, I wanted to include that OPI is supposed to be coming out with a few more shatter nail polishes within the next few months, so look out for those, if you're interested.

Have you tried shatter or crackle polishes? What do you think; do you love them or leave them? :)

Hugs and Kisses,

Beauty Questions TAG!!! :)

I wasn't tagged by anyone, but I just thought this might give a little background on me (beauty wise). :)

Skin Care:
-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Technically once, I wash my face with a cleanser at night,  and in the morning I just splash my face with some water so that I don't over dry my skin.
-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
Dry
-What is your current facial wash?
Aveeno Clear Complexion Cleansing Bar
-Do you exfoliate?
Yes, with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sugar, twice or three times a week.
-What moisturizer do you use?
Aveeno Ultra Calming Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15
-Do you have freckles?
NO.
-Do you use eye cream?
NO.
-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
YES
Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Yes, when I was 15, it works, while you use it, but once you stop it makes you break out horribly, and it can be very drying.

MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?
I really don't wear foundation, I'm more of a concealer type of girl.
-How about concealer?
Yes, Maybelline Superstay 24hr. Concealer in Cream
-Do you know your undertone color?
Uhhh...I believe I  have Pinkish undertones
-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I think they're gorgeous, but I've never tried wearing any.
-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, and I throw mine out as soon as it dries out.
-What brand of mascara do you use?
Maybelline The Falsies
-Sephora or MAC?
Sephora, they have more variety
-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
NO.
-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Eyeshadow brushes, blush brush, kabuki brush,
-Do you use make-up base/primer?
Foundation Primer NO.
Eyeshadow Primer YES, when I wear eyeshadow, but most of the time I don't wear eyeshadow though. :)
-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
I love neutrals. My favorite would probably be Cover Girl Single Eyeshadow in Mink. Its extremely similar to Mac All that Glitters.
-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Pencil. Milani Liquifeye Liner Pencil
-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never. :)
-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
They are gorgeous but super messy.
-Do you use mineral makeup?
Nope.
-What is your favorite lipstick?
L'oreal Fairest Nude.
-How about lipgloss?
Sally girl Lipgloss in Curfew or Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Lilac Pastelle
-What is your favorite blush to use?
NYC Mosaic Face Powder in Pink Cheek Glow
-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
Nope, never.

Yes, I think the drugstore has tons of good stuff
-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
I've never been, but looking forward to it soon. :)
-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Of course Ive thought about it, but I'm not sure if I'll do it
-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
No, not really.
-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
When girls over tweeze their eyebrows and then draw them in with a pencil. NOT CUTE!!!
-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I prefer neutrals, but I like colorful ones for a little pop of color.
-Which celebrity always has great make up?
Kim Kardashian, of course. :)
-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Eyeliner in the waterline....makes a huge difference to me.
-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I could, but I wouldn't. lol.
-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I look alright...I guess.
-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Cant pick, there are too many, and so much I still haven't tried.
-What do you think of Makeup?
I think makeup is a confidence booster. You should be confident without makeup, but when you feel like you have so many imperfections, I think that a little bit of makeup goes a long way in making someone feel prettier and more confident. I also think that makeup is a form of art and for some people it can be a creative outlet.

Miguel - Sure thing w/lyrics----Love this song!!! :)

Hey everyone,

I know this is a little different than my normal beauty posts, but I just thought I'd share something different with you all. Earlier today I was talking to my bestie and she told me about this song, and I haven't stopped listening to it since. I know that this isn't everyone's taste in music, but it's a sweet song. You can listen to it if you want, and you can skip this post if it's not your style. :)

DIY Facial Exfoliator!!! Olive Oil and Sugar

Hey girls,

As I've mentioned before, I have very dry skin, and I tend to get some dry patches on my face which can be very frustrating. I didn't want to go out and  spend money on an exfoliator, so I decided to make my own. I had heard before that sugar and olive oil make a great face scrub, so I decided to try it.

What you need:
-Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-Regular Sugar or Brown Sugar (whichever is in your pantry)
-A towel
-A sink with running water

Step 1) Wash your hands throughly, you never want to touch your face with dirty hands.

Step 2) Remove your makeup and wash your face like normal, so you can exfoliate clean skin.

Step 3)With wet hands, wet your face a little bit, not to the point that it's dripping wet, just a little damp.

Step 4) Apply some Extra Virgin Olive Oil all over your face. (Olive Oil WILL NOT clog pores; it's very healthy for the skin).

Step 5) Grab some sugar in your hands and GENTLY start to scrub your face in circular motions for 20 seconds. BE VERY GENTLE, SUGAR HAS A VERY GRITTY TEXTURE.

Step 6) Rinse the sugar off your face. You will have some oil left over after rinsing your face, just use a towel to blot off any excess.

ATTENTION!!!
-Your face might be a little red afterwards, it'll go away in a minute or two. It's completely normal.
-BE GENTLE, like I said before, because if you scrub too hard, it will get red and it will stay that way for a while.

That's It!!! Your face should now feel smooth and soft. And guess what you didn't have to spend money on a facial scrub; you improvised and used what you already had. The great thing about exfoliating with olive oil and sugar is that you aren't putting all different kinds of chemicals on your face, you're just using two simple ingredients. :)

Hope you girls love this DIY self face scrub!!!

(OVER) GREAT BARGAIN AT CVS!!! THIS WEEK ONLY!!!

Hello Beauties,

So yesterday I posted all the beauty sales and bargains at the drugstore I found interesting, and today, on my way home from school, I was driving by CVS and decided to stop and check out the beauty section. Guess what I found!!!! A DEAL!!!! I found a great deal on Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Powder (Believe me this deal, happy boosted my mood real quick, I had been eyeing this product for a while, but thought it was a little pricey). So anyways, if you read my BARGAINS!!! BARGAINS!!! BARGAINS!!! post that I posted yesterday you saw that Physicians Formula is 40% off at CVS this week, which is a pretty good deal within itself.

Originally, the Happy Booster Powder was...... $13.99

When you apply the 40% off (This week only)......$8.39
GREAT DEAL BUT IT'S NOT OVER!!!

Then on the box you have a $3 off now at the register coupon, so it went down to $5.39

Tell me that isn't a great deal!!! A $14 powder for $5 and some change....if this isn't a deal, than I don't know what is.....lol.

I hope you girls go out and get this real soon before the sale is over or before your drugstore runs out. I'm happy boosted for sure. I'll try to post a review or something on this product if you girls want. Just let me know.

Hugs and Kisses,

Favorite Drugstore Concealer!!!! =>

Hello my beautiful frugalistas,

I'm back with a post on my favorite drugstore concealer for under eyes and blemishes. Can you guess what it is????

It's the Maybelline 24 Hr. Superstay Concealer, my shade is in Cream. Recently I repurchased it, and omgeee!!! I don't know why I ever stopped using it. Well actually I do, I stopped using it, because a while back I broke out really bad, and I was running out of this concealer, and I figured I needed to mask my face with foundation so I bought the Maybelline Superstay Foundation  instead. And although I do think the foundation is really good, I realized I'm just not a foundation kind of girl. I don't like to mask my face with foundation, I just like to conceal my imperfections. So when I saw this on sale last week at Walgreens, I was all over it like cheese on tortilla chips. lol.

For starters, this concealer is simply amazing to me....I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!

It is the perfect shade, and it covers so well. I suffer from acne scarring and really bad under eye circles and this one concealer works amazing for both. Which means I kill two birds with one stone, and save money because I don't have to spend on two different concealers

As for the actual review:
-The consistency is not very thick but it covers very well.
-It may not last 24 hrs., but it does last me most of the day. (I do set it with a powder)
-Under my eyes, it only slightly settles into my wrinkles, but definitely not as much as my Milani, Revlon, and Benefit concealers. (I also set with a powder under my eyes.)
-It most definitely isn't hard to work with, I apply it with my clean fingers both under my eyes and on my face.  I do recommend to apply it before the moisturizer completely dries because since it is a long lasting concealer it tends to dry a bit faster than typical concealers and smooths better over a moisturized face.
-I have fairly dry skin so if I set this with too much powder it will make dry patches look extra dry...but then again, since I have dry skin, I probably dont really need to set it with powder. (Oily skin girls, yes, you should definitely set with powder, in my opinion) :)

Final thoughts: The concealer has amazing coverage, is easily accessible at drugstores, isn't expensive and can be found on sales, and it truly is the most easy to work with concealer I have ever tried. I don't have to reapply and it does it's job, IT CONCEALS! With other concealers, I felt like I had to reapply, like it didn't really go perfectly with my skin tone, like it was sliding off of my face or just didn't have enough coverage. Forget about any other concealer, this is my Holy Grail concealer, and I will keep repurchasing this over and over again because it works. :)

Here's a before and after pic:

No concealer

Have you tried this concealer? How did it work out for you? Did you love it or leave it?
